Somewhere around the Worcester area.
Dinner and evening at a pub.
If your’re interested leave a comment below with links to any nice pubs we might use (that have accommodation) and email me, subject ‘Worcester’.
Timing all depends on replies but this year likely Sept/Oct.

Only an hours drive from Hereford. Cannot do 30/31 Sep or 1/2/3 Oct, as we have our first go-live so I shall be working.

Could be up for this.

Plenty venues in Worcester and surrounds. Hotels Worcester/Malvern.

Can’t manage 1-4 Sept; 5-12 Oct.

Tue 28 Aug 2018 @ 11:13 UTC #11397
Oct good. Prefer Worcester to Kairdiff.
Tue 28 Aug 2018 @ 14:23 UTC #11398
To set the ball rolling will suggest 3 local “non-city” venues that offer both accommodation and good food:
Bank House Hotel, Bransford (Olde Worlde, golf course, 3m Worcester)
The Swan Inn, Hanley Swan (Village green type, v popular, near Malvern)
The Baiting House, Upper Sapey (Out in sticks, excellent food, 9m Worcester)
Am sure someone with recent experience can suggest the best Worcester venues and accommodation.
Tue 28 Aug 2018 @ 15:19 UTC #11399
Another local venue to add to above list:
The Crown Inn & Sandys, Ombersley. (Renowned village inn, 3m Worcester)
Thu 13 Sep 2018 @ 11:59 UTC #11408
Currently 13th October. Venue undecided but it will be one of the above.
Thu 13 Sep 2018 @ 12:12 UTC #11410
looks OK now but might have work.
Thu 13 Sep 2018 @ 12:58 UTC #11411
Probably can make that weekend. Would be coming from North Somerset on the Saturday morning and going to Mid-Wales on the Sunday, if that helps anyone.
Thu 13 Sep 2018 @ 13:17 UTC #11413
Hi Snots, I’ve added you to the mailing list.
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 11:11 UTC #11416
Email sent with the time, date and place. If you haven’t received anything and would like to come then get in touch.
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 11:16 UTC #11417
Got no email 🙁
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 11:16 UTC #11418
Belay that – just arrived.
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 11:34 UTC #11419
What sort of pub crawl is likely after dinner? Thinking of taxis/getting back to hotel etc
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 11:40 UTC #11420
Just a point t Bank House is out on its own. Moving on from there will require taxi. Unless you walk a mile or so to the Fox.
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 11:44 UTC #11421
Heads up to those with Hotels.com or Expedia Rewards accounts – they list the hotel mentioned so you can get your usual 10% off the website price.
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 12:19 UTC #11422
Well I think I’ll treat my self and stay at Bank House. I’m too much of a lightweight drinker to do pub crawls without adequate supervion anyway
Thu 20 Sep 2018 @ 13:16 UTC #11423
Hi all. As per SB’s earlier e-m request, have proffered for consideration an alternative venue in town to eliminate the need for taxi’s.
Ye Olde Talbot Inn (Olde English Inns)
As being fairly local, I’m happy to go wherever is decided.

I would be up for the Ye Olde Talbot Inn rather than the Bank House.
Fri 21 Sep 2018 @ 10:49 UTC #11426
What’s the parking situation like in Worcester?
Fri 21 Sep 2018 @ 11:32 UTC #11427
Multi storey car parks, 1 opposite Cathedral (next to Talbot), 1 above main shopping centre; 3 or 4 sizeable open air pay and display types within 400 yards of the Cathedral. Wouldn’t advise street parking.
Hope this helps.

My 2 cents. Premier inn with paid parking – 10-15 mins walk to the centre. Taxi situation to/from Bank House is not great.
Fri 21 Sep 2018 @ 17:04 UTC #11430
As most of you seem to prefer staying in the centre I am minded to change the venue.
I’ll send an update tomorrow once I’ve confirmed no one has booked a room at Bank House
