        Trying to add my avatar. Looked at edit profile, but cannot see anyway to add an avatar.

            Sorry, I think I must be particurly stupid, as still cannot see how to add my avata.
            I have gone to profile. Looked then to Edit but still can’t see any input boxes to upload my picture.

              You definitely do. Once logged in there is a black ribbon menu above or to the left, on a phone I couldn’t tell you.

      Yay. Finally here. Completely forgot that I’d used a different name on the beta site (that I never got into). Thanks guys.
      Also screwed up on the password when that was set up. When the initial password was displayed, I expected the reset password button to take me to a reset password page, but the password went poof & I hadn’t noted it.
      All I need now is to change my id to my ‘normal’…

      How to set up an avatar?

      On the edit profile page only these 4 items appear for me:

      Name
      Contact Info
      About Yourself
      Account

      There is no ‘profile picture’ header/option listed.

        You need to register with Gravatar – https://en.gravatar.com/ – and upload your physog. Then it magically appears, at least it did for me.

          Thanks for the Gravatar link.

          It appears that ‘unknownknowns’ is already being used with WordPress.com.

          Is WordPress.org the same group? I log-in here OK but fail on WordPress.com.

          So, I guess that a white silhouette will have to suffice for now.

        You have to go into your profile and then register with gravatar, easily done once registered.
